SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – Orange, CA

Our Orange, CA office is currently looking for a well-rounded environmental professional with a solid background in asbestos, lead, and mold assessments/investigations to join our team as a Senior Project Manager.  The ideal candidate should possess a 4 year degree in Environmental Studies, Public Health, or a related Science, 5-10 years of industry relevant experience, be well spoken and have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously, be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Experience using Deltek is a plus but not necessary to apply.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are required.  This position is a good opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys both conducting site surveys and handling the daily office tasks related to complete project management.  In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must possess a valid California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) license and California Lead Inspector/Assessor (CLIA) license.  Salary requirements MUST be included on your resume or cover letter.

PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGIST – Orange, CA

Our Orange, CA office is currently looking for a mid-level Professional Geologist with experience performing residential & commercial Phase II work to join our expanding team.  The ideal candidate will have a college degree in Geology, Environmental Studies, or a related science.  He/She should also be well spoken, possess excellent communication skills, be available to work flexible hours when needed, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Experience with Deltek is a plus but not necessary to apply.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are required.  This is a great opportunity for a motivated, self-starter, looking to take the lead on designing and performing their own project work.

ASBESTOS PROJECT MONITOR/INVESTIGATOR – Bedford, MA

Our Bedford, MA office is currently looking for an experienced & licensed Massachusetts Asbestos Inspector/Project Monitor with a minimum of 4+ years of experience to join our expanding team.  This position is based out of Bedford, MA but travel around the entire state is required.  A strong background in Asbestos and Mold and/or Industrial Hygiene is important but full training will be provided.  The ideal candidate will possess at least a 2-year degree in Environmental Studies or a related science, the ability to multitask effectively, problem solve, and exercise independent judgment.  Good customer service skills are a must – this position requires significant client interaction both in-person and via email.  Years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis.

ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN – Bedford, MA

Our Bedford, MA office is currently looking for a motivated individual with 1-3 years of experience conducting asbestos, mold, and indoor air quality investigations to join our expanding team.  The ideal candidate should have an Associates degree in Environmental Studies, or a related science.  He/She should also be well spoken, possess excellent communication skills, be available to work flexible hours and travel as needed.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are required.  Related licenses/certifications are a plus but not necessary to be considered for this position as full training will be provided.  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Conduct investigations and report findings and results in accordance with applicable regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Perform air, surface, and water sampling in accordance with applicable regulations and industry methods.
  • Perform asbestos containing material surveys, employee exposure monitoring for various environmental hazards, noise exposure assessments, and moisture/mold inspections.
  • Respond to client emergencies during normal business hours and off-peak hours as necessary.

ENGINEERING DIVISION – SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – Bedford, MA

Our Atlantic Highlands, NJ based Engineering Consulting Division is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team in the Bedford, MA office.  The ideal candidate will possess at least a 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, and have 5-10+ years of relevant industry experience.  He/She must be well-spoken, possess excellent communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to work well independently while simultaneously managing multiple ongoing projects, and be able to deal directly with clients in a professional and proactive manner. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Experience using Deltek is a plus but not necessary to apply.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are necessary.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Review & assess construction and architectural agreements, plans and specifications, analyze hard cost budgets, and construction schedules, etc.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction and recommend the release of construction funds.
  • Manage multiple projects.
  • Maintain excellent client communication.

The successful candidate will attend regular construction site visits and produce ongoing construction monitoring reports, pre-construction engineering assessments, and document reviews.  He/She will also perform property condition assessments and will be expected to build relationships with both potential and existing clients.

ENGINEERING DIVISION – REGIONAL MANAGER – Bedford, MA

Our Atlantic Highlands, NJ based Engineering Consulting Division is currently seeking an experienced Engineer with management experience to join our team in the Bedford, MA office as a Regional Manager.  The ideal candidate will possess at least a 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, and have 5-10+ years of relevant industry experience.  He/She must be well-spoken, possess excellent communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to work well independently while simultaneously managing multiple ongoing projects, and be able to deal directly with staff and clients in a professional and proactive manner. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Experience using Deltek is a plus but not necessary to apply.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are necessary.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Plan and execute personal sales activities.
  • Exceed sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain industry contacts.
  • Maintain excellent client communication.
  • Manage staff and multiple projects.
  • Provide mentorship to Boston staff.
  • Perform QA/QC for Boston workload.
  • Review and assess construction and architectural agreements, plans and specifications, analyze hard cost budgets and construction schedules, etc.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction and recommend the release of construction funds.
  • Conduct walkthrough surveys of existing buildings to assess condition of major systems and prepare estimated costs to remedy building conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling due diligence services, planning and executing sales activities toward defined sales goals, and both develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts.  He/She will also be responsible for QA/QC of construction monitoring reports, pre-construction engineering assessments and document reviews, and property condition assessments prepared by other staff members.

ENGINEERING DIVISION – PROJECT MANAGER – Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Our Union, NJ based Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with 3+ years of experience conducting lead, asbestos, indoor air quality, and mold inspections to join our expanding team.  The ideal candidate should have at least a 4-year degree in Environmental Studies, Public Health, or a related science.  He/She should also be well spoken, possess excellent communication skills, be available to work flexible hours and travel as needed.  A valid DL and reliable transportation are required.  EHS related licenses/certifications are a plus but not necessary to be considered for this position.  NY/NJ/PA Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor certification is preferred.  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Conduct investigations, develop remediation plans, and report findings and results in accordance with applicable regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Perform air, surface, and water sampling in accordance with applicable regulations and industry methods.
  • Collect information and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to develop an inventory of hazardous chemicals for annual client Right-to-Know (RTK) reporting.
  • Perform lead-based paint inspections & risk assessments, asbestos containing material surveys, employee exposure monitoring for various environmental hazards, noise exposure assessments, and moisture/mold inspections.
  • Respond to client emergencies during normal business hours and off-peak hours as necessary.

NY STATE/USEPA CERTIFIED ASBESTOS PROJECT MONITORS – NY/NJ

Our Union, NJ office is currently looking for several self-motivated individuals to join our rapidly expanding Asbestos Division.  This is an opportunity for the right candidate to be instrumental in building Hillmann’s regional business in the metropolitan NY area while creating a dynamic career path.  Accordingly, travel around the NY/NJ area and the ability to work nights and weekends are required.  The ideal candidate should possess a valid DL, High School Diploma or equivalent, and excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).  He/She must also be available to work overtime (when necessary), be detail oriented, and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office in addition to general computer skills.   Asbestos certifications/licenses in NY and/or CT is preferred but not required to apply.  Please note that this position requires significant client interaction and a thorough understanding of asbestos testing.  We have both full & part time positions available.  All applicants will be required to consent to a background check and pass a drug test.  Send us your resume today!
