Environmental and Engineering Desktop Reviews
Hillmann Consulting,LLC performed a Desktop Review of 11 sets of Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and Property Condition Assessment reports for a global financial firm. Our staff conducted evaluations of each report, interacted with the consultant to resolve questions or comments that arose for each of the reports, prepared and submitted a review memo for each location to our client summarizing each report’s findings, conclusions and recommendations, and authorized the consultant to issue final reports.
Our team worked in conjunction with the consultant who initially prepared the Phase I ESA and PCA reports. Following our review, we provided the consultant with a list of questions and comments for each project location. In turn, the consultant provided clarifications and/or modifications to the reports in response to our comments.
A summary of each Phase I ESA and PCA report using their supplied software was prepared and submitted to our client. Report comments/questions were provided to the consultant, and the Phase I ESA and PCA reports were authorized to be finalized.
We updated our client as the project progressed, providing updates regarding our progress and any significant environmental or engineering issues indicated by the reports.
Phase I Environmental Site Assessment
Hillmann Consulting, LLC completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments for a portfolio of four large industrial manufacturing plants located in the Mid-Atlantic United States region. The Phase I ESAs were conducted in accordance with ASTM E1527-05. Each site was situated on approximately 40 acres, contained numerous buildings and structures, and had been utilized for the manufacturing of floor products including vinyl sheeting, linoleum, and floor tiles. One site also contained a paper mill. The sites had been occupied for manufacturing and production use for the last 70 to 100 years.
We worked closely with on-site environmental staff members at each plant to obtain the most up-to-date information and documentation regarding the various areas of concern. We kept our client informed of any significant concerns identified during the course of the project. We met our deadline and provided quality reports to the client. Hillmann Consulting, LLC completed the Phase I ESA’s reports for the portfolio on schedule.
