Hazardous Materials – Transportation
Hillmann Consulting, LLC was engaged to provide hazardous materials management services to a major train station in the New York Metropolitan area during a fire alarm upgrade project. Our scope of work included performing a comprehensive asbestos investigation, asbestos awareness and allied trades training, respirator fit testing, asbestos project monitoring, dust control, and overall quality assurance.
Our investigative field work for the survey included a visual inspection of all areas, sampling of suspect materials and notation of material conditions pursuant to the applicable regulations. During the air quality monitoring, a member of our team was on-site for the duration of the project at all times with the abatement contractor, who is present to assure compliance with federal, state and local statutes governing clean-up procedures. A final inspection took place prior to clearance air testing. Our project management team planned and executed testing and laboratory analysis for each shift to accommodate our client’s aggressive time constraints to ensure re-occupancy of the public areas on schedule.
