Occupational Health and Safety
Hillmann Consulting, LLC was retained to perform Community Monitoring specifically for Air, Noise, and Vibration during the demolition of a historic sports stadium in the New York Metropolitan area. Our scope of work included measuring vibration, dust, noise, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the deconstruction of the stadium. Our staff was on-site at all times while demolition was being performed for the 10 month project duration.
Our Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) consisted of dust particulate monitoring (PM-10) and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) monitoring. During the course of each workday, Hillmann Consulting, LLC continuously monitored the PM-10 and VOC concentrations to ensure that the community was not negatively impacted by the demolition.
Our Community Noise Monitoring consisted of monitoring noise levels on the fence line closest to impact noise or continuous noise. Our Community Vibration Monitoring consisted of monitoring vibration levels in sensitive structures adjacent to the stadium. Noise and Vibration monitoring was also performed to ensure that the community was not negatively impacted by the demolition.
