8th Annual Riding For Warriors Motorcycle Ride
The Eighth Annual Riding For Warriors 15-day motorcycle ride kicked-off June 30th at Camp Pendleton in California. This fundraiser benefits Hope For The Warriors and its Warrior’s Wish and Military Spouse and Caregiver Scholarships programs. This year’s motorcycle journey will go coast-to-coast aiming to raise awareness and support for post-9/11 veterans and their families through a goal of raising $100,000 for the two programs.
Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit that assists veterans, service members, and military families with a variety of programming including health and wellness, sports and recreation, and transition services.
The ride is being led by Air Force Veteran and Hillmann Principal, Michael Nehlsen. Michael is accompanied by eight of his friends this year. The 15-day journey will take Nehlsen and his friends through 14 states, starting at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California and ending at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC. Michael has traveled nearly 30,000 miles raising over $253,000 for Warrior’s Wish through his partnership with Hope For The Warriors.
“Together, we can make a difference by giving Hope For The Warriors our collective support in their mission to help service members, military families, and families of the fallen.” – Michael Nehlsen
